Teresa Eggersten Cooke

Vocals / Keyboard

Teresa Eggertsen Cooke is a seasoned pianist, vocalist, and songwriter based in Park City, Utah. Known for her sultry voice and emotive piano work, Teresa brings a heartfelt touch to jazz, Americana, and contemporary classics. Whether performing timeless standards or her own original compositions, she has a rare ability to make familiar songs feel brand new.

Originally from Utah, Teresa began playing piano and singing at a young age, but took a long detour from the stage to become an internationally ranked mountain bike racer. After retiring from racing in 2003, she returned to music with fresh passion and purpose. She has since released the album Fooled Again, performed at venues like the Metropolitan Room in New York City and The Gardenia Club in Los Angeles, and earned accolades from audiences and critics alike.

As a live performer, Teresa has become a mainstay at Riverhorse on Main, The Aerie at Snowbird, and other top venues throughout Utah. Her voice has been described as “liquid velvet,” and her stage presence has been praised for its intimacy, grace, and charm. Her song “Circle” was nominated for the U.S. category at the Toronto Independent Music Awards, and she was named a finalist in the prestigious New Folk Songwriting Competition.

When she’s not on stage, Teresa spends time with her family, composes new material, and continues to refine her ever-evolving repertoire. Drawing from a deep love of Elton John, Carole King, and the jazz greats, she weaves genres and eras together with authenticity and style. For Teresa, music is about connection—and she brings that joy to every note she plays.
